EFT cheat sheet
"The best is yet to come."
Here are the tapping points on the body and also on the hand. In many pictures of tapping of the hand the ring finger is not tapped on, but if you do tap on it notice that the tapping is on the other side of the nail, as the meridian there!
Think of the subject you want to tap, and then give it a notation of 0- 10. 10 being the worst. You can also give it a colour, shape, weight and where you feel the feeling/emotion in the body, this is not obligatory! However, some people find this easier than a number. You can ask children to show with their hands close beside, or wide apart.
Do the set-up statement on the karate point
Even though.........Emotion/feeling....................... I completely accept myself/ the situation.
Even though.........Emotion/feeling........................ I choose to love/accept this feeling.
Even though ........Emotion/feeling........................ I love and honour my feelings or I choose to move on from the situation
For the first cycle, focus on the emotion or situation you want to work on and tap into negative statements. For example, if you are feeling anxious you can tap on the different points while saying something like, ' I am feeling anxious, I am worried, I am scared, for 2-3 rounds Then, take a big breath in and out and then get up and walk to your door and back.
Take note of how you feel and any changes, no matter how small.
Then, for the second cycle, mix negative and positive statements. For example, you can tap on all the points while saying something like, "I acknowledge that I am feeling anxious. I also acknowledge that I am strong and capable and can handle this situation." Again, take a big breath in and out and then get up and walk to the door and back.
Take note of how you feel.
Finally, for the third cycle, focus on positive statements. Say something like, "I am feeling calm and confident; I am in control of my emotions." Again, take a big breath in and out and then get up and walk to the door and back.
Take note of how you feel and any changes.
Through this simple practice, you may find that you are able to shift your emotions and create a sense of peace and calm
